Auto parts processing tool scheme
In addition to engine and transmission parts, a variety of other important parts are manufactured in the automotive industry, such as turbochargers, steering knuckles, housings and brake parts.
Solutions and tools from Tusa Precision are backed by in-depth application expertise. With a dedicated engineering team that supports the automotive industry with a wide range of quality solutions, we also have a presence on the international market. Selected high-productivity solutions for some of the challenging features in parts production are presented here.
Turbocharger
Turbochargers are forced pressurized air intake devices driven by turbines that increase the efficiency and power output of internal combustion engines by forcing additional air into the combustion chamber.
Turbochargers are forced pressurized air intake devices driven by turbines that increase the efficiency and power output of internal combustion engines by forcing additional air into the combustion chamber.
To maximize engine efficiency while reducing engine size, these systems have complex structural characteristics and need to ensure high manufacturing accuracy.
The material on the high temperature side of the turbocharger must be able to withstand temperatures of about 1300 ° C, which is why gasoline engines usually use austenitic stainless steel materials. Machining abrasive materials is often characterized by very short and irregular blade life, uneven wear, and difficulty in achieving tight workpiece tolerances.
Shell
A large number of different housings are used in the automotive industry to protect and secure parts together in components, such as flywheel housings and transmission housings
Knuckle
The knuckle is the pivot point of the steering system that allows the wheels to turn.
A steering knuckle is a part that contains a hub or axle and is fixed to a suspension component. It has several different names such as knuckle, shaft, column or hub. The wheel and tire assembly are fixed to the hub or axle of the steering knuckle, where the wheel is kept in a stable motion by the steering knuckle/suspension assembly while rotating. Steering knuckles come in a variety of shapes and sizes. It is designed to meet the needs of a variety of applications and suspension types.
Brake Caliper
The brake liner is assembled in the brake caliper and it is here that the brake liner comes into play during the brake operation.
Brake pads are installed in the brake caliper of the vehicle, and it is these parts that play a role in the braking operation of the vehicle. Since the brake caliper is a safety related part of the vehicle, it has very high manufacturing requirements and quality requirements. For these types of parts, economical manufacturing is very important.
